2012 New Years Resolutions!

1. Develop iA -  we should be at a point where we can accept new users, even if it is just a small group of testers.
2. Draw a full story graphic novel -  doesn’t have to be amazing, but let’s say 30 pages long and a full story from front to end.
3. Train for the Tough Mudder -  be able to do 2x50 pushups, run 15 mi, 100 knee to chest for each knee, 2x50 sit ups, and 2x30 pullups.
4. Be more productive -  limit amount of wasted time checking facebook and playing games excessively.

There was a man who was given plentiful bricks and mortar to build a house. He came upon a nice piece of land with a solid rock foundation. So, he started to build the walls of this house on the foundation. After he dedicated a time of good and diligent work, he stepped back to marvel at the progress of the house. It was magnificent, and so awe inspiring that others who are also skillful in craft joined the construction.

The man decided he had started a good work, and that his task there was finished. The beauty of the house drew others to build on top of  her solid foundation. So, the man left for a period of time. And during those passing of days, he became weary and in need of shelter. So he returned to the house he had started a good work in, but it was not finished. He attempted to enter anyways, but the door was not ready to be opened. In deep depravity and need, he pushed the door, shaking the bricks he had laid with his own hands.

The builders who came after the man laid hold of him. They moved him aside and continued the work that was delayed.

Me, too. Made me wanna watch 500 Days of Summer again, but then I changed my mind when I remembered they break up at the end. :(

Feed Me!

I have been extremely excited for the past few days. The reason? I am hungry for the word of God, ie. the Biblical truths found in the Bible that unveils the blessings and atrocities of world and provides insight into God character. This matched with the realization that about a half dozen “people of old” who have walked the narrow walk following Jesus can feed me. It makes sense to look to those who have struggled hard with this faith for insight.

I’ve only found roughly a half dozen, but here they are:

A.W. Tozer

Jonathan Edwards

C.S. Lewis

Andrew Murray (have yet to get to his stuff)

John Piper (Still alive!)

The great thing about these guys is they are so old the copyright on their works have expired (except Piper who decided to not charge for his work), meaning you can get most of their books for free! just Google it or search on Amazon. The amount of wisdom to be gained is endless.
